Before you get very far you will be attacked again and realise this is a setup.

Completion – Initially you may think contact me that you have lost him for good because you cannot put him in your party. This is not the case, return to your estate and Fenris will meet you there. After a brief conversation with him , he will leave and will become an active party member again.
